Vaishnavas participated in interfaith dialogue in Tomsk, Russia. The focus of the report was gathered Ph.D. Nikolai Karpitsky about the value and meaning of the dialogue of followers of different faiths.

In his speech, Nikolai Karpitsky reiterated the important fact that the dialogue of religions, and even differ in its fundamental principles, ideas and beliefs, it is still very valuable, because thanks to him we can overcome stereotypes. Dialogue provides an opportunity to better understand each other and work together to solve the pressing issues that unite everyone.
Talking about the advantages and features of the spiritual development of man, Professor Karpitsky highlighted his ability to recognize the value of personal spiritual experience of other people, and this, in turn, significantly enriches my own inner world.
According to observations of the expert, there is now some common trajectory of development of different religions. However, he is confident that this approach can be seen, and even record if the call for help was an inter-religious and inter-faith dialogue. Thus the common goal of different religious traditions scientist sees in the spiritual enlightenment of man, and that alone can serve as a first step to form a single consistent worldview.
On the other hand, the dialogue of religions, according to the philosopher, can be considered as a tool to solve more pressing problems of ordinary, one of the most serious of which are considered sectarian strife and conflict.
After the speech, the scientist an open discussion, according to the portal, adding that the meeting was organized social movement "Interreligious dialogue" and that such constructive discussions held in Tomsk on a regular basis, and this is – a good tradition in itself.
Recall that Nikolai Karpitsky with a determination made in 2011-2012. against attempts to ban the sacred Bhagavad Gita translation and commentary of the outstanding Indian religious leader and educator AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (1896-1977), when based on the application of the Tomsk prosecutor in Tomsk held a lawsuit on the recognition of the book as extremist material. Well-known scientists of the country were forced to turn to the corresponding address to the first persons of the state with a request to stop the absurd process, which dealt a serious blow to the reputation of Russia, and in the eyes of the world community, and the Russian-Indian relations and the prestige of the Russian science. Not to mention the honor and dignity of the followers of the Vaishnava traditions and Hinduism in general. Fortunately, during the second trial, the Tomsk Regional Court upheld in March 2012 confirmed the decision of the Leninsky district court of Tomsk, the prosecutor failed to satisfy his claim.
